Dr. Michael Papacharalampous is a Chief Director of the Internal Medicine Department at Metropolitan Hospital (Athens, Greece), Owner and Medical Director at Orthobiotiki Polyclinic (Athens, Greece), President of the Open Health Allience (Greece), Founder and General Secretary of the European Society of Preventive, Regenerative and Antiaging Medicine (ESAAM).

Academic education

Michael Papacharalampous qualified as a medical doctor (MD) from the Medical School of Athens University, Greece (1969), obtained the title of Specialist in Internal Medicine at Athens University, Greece (1973), received his PhD in hematology from the Medical School of Athens University, Greece (1982), completed his postgraduate studies at University Hospital in Hammersmith, University of London, UK (1975), received a specialist qualification in Ultrasound in Clinical Medicine from Thomas Jefferson’s University, Philadelphia, USA (1988).

Research activities

Implementation of diagnostic and treatment protocols in collaboration with the National Research Center department of Aging (Greece). Investigation of specific inflammatory processes targeting Autism in collaboration with Professor Theoharis Theoharidis, Tuft’s University (Brain-Gate, Boston). Breast 3D Ultrasonography. Mercury intoxication in Greek population. Bio identical Hormones and genetic expression. Stem cells in Clinical praxis Telomeres, Proteasome and oxidized Proteins as marker of aging.

Networking

As a President of the Open Health Allience he organized two Congresses. As a Vice president of ESAAM he organized the Athens ESAAM conference, Milano, St. Petersburg and Cyprus Congresses.
