2nd Mediterranean Congress Anti-Aging Medicine, Cyprus

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to this 1st Mediterranean Congress of Antiageing Medicine, in Larnaca. This is the first time a congress with such a wide-ranging theme on ageing, and with such depth, is held in Cyprus.
The health of older people is a crucial subject which necessitates a multidisciplinary approach in order to offer effective treatments against age-related diseases. The congress aims to provide insights in both basic science and clinical aspects.
We are privileged to have with us some of the most respected scholars and world-class academics in the field of ageing, as well as some rising stars in gerontology and geriatrics.
The participants come from all over Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the United States, and of course, Cyprus.
It is worth noting that Cyprus has a remarkable medical history with some well-known physicians such as the Apollonios of Kition, who is also known as ‘The Cypriot Hippocrates’.
Therefore, you are all now a part of that tradition, that spans a period of over 2000 years.
